The Repeater 8 product contains a complete receiver section with a distance compensation control that is continuously adjustable to provide a sharp image up to 150m of UTP cable. It also features its own local VGA monitor and audio output connectors.
It is possible to connect several Repeater units by using the distance compensation control at each stage to achieve installations with many more display points than previously possible, each displaying the same output from a single PC or media player.
The outputs of the Repeater can be set to either AV mode or VP mode, even if the source signal not already in that mode. Each unit features two switches that switch each bank of four outputs independently between the two modes. Switch 1 sets the mode for outputs 1 to 4 and switch 2 sets the mode for outputs 5-8 on the Repeater 8 only.
